TasteTrove started with a question I kept asking myself while shopping: is this actually worth buying again? I can rate everything I try from 1–10, save its price and store, and track whatever matters to me — calories, protein, salt or anything else. Prices are always compared per 100 g, so different pack sizes don't skew the results. And my personal log stays private.

At the heart of TasteTrove is the Worth to Buy engine. I can decide what makes a product worth buying — maybe it's all about taste for the price, or a custom mix like 50% taste, 30% price and 20% protein. I can also choose whether more or less of each thing is better — more protein is good, less salt is good. Changed my priorities? One click rescales everything and re-ranks my entire list.

There's also a public product database that keeps track of what's available in different regions, including brands, barcodes, ingredients and allergens. Regional versions of products stay separate, so the details actually match what's on the shelf. The community helps verify new entries, and adding a product from the database to my personal log takes just one click.

Highlights

  • 01Keep track of what you eat, how much you enjoy it (1–10), where you bought it and what it costs — along with calories, protein, salt or any other details you care about
  • 02Compare products fairly with prices automatically converted to cost per 100 g/ml, regardless of package size
  • 03Figure out what's worth buying with scoring formulas based on taste, price and whatever matters most to you
  • 04Not sure where to start? Pick a ready-made scoring setup: Balanced Buyer, Protein Hunter, Keto Keeper or Caffeine Goblin
  • 05Look up products in a shared, region-aware database with brands, barcodes, ingredients and allergen information
  • 06Help keep the database accurate — once five different people confirm a submission, it's automatically approved
  • 07Found a product you want to try? Add it from the public database to your personal log in one click
  • 08Use TasteTrove on your phone with simple bottom navigation, a handy floating add button and the important stuff right where you need it
